Apply to College with Alabama Direct Admission

What is Direct Admission?

Seniors can apply to multiple colleges across the state for FREE through the Alabama Direct Admission Initiative powered by Match. Through this process, students complete a profile and upload a current high school transcript. Creating this one-time profile enables students to receive admission offers from any of the participating colleges.

To receive offers during the initial round of acceptances, your profile must be complete with a current transcript uploaded by September 14, 2026. Offers will be released beginning on October 1, 2026.

(If you complete your profile later than September 14, your offers will be received at regularly scheduled intervals based on the date you publish your profile.)

Create Your Match Profile

When you receive an offer from a college or university, you must click "Accept" to move forward with the admission process. If you do not respond, the school will withdraw the offer on the expiration date that is displayed. Remember, that accepting an admission offer does not commit you to attend that school.

After accepting your offers, colleges will begin to communicate with you and may request additional information to verify what you entered in your profile. If you plan to apply for scholarships, you may still need to complete a scholarship application with that college or university if one is requested.

FAQs

Do all of these schools above see my profile? Yes! Each will evaluate your transcript and other information provided in your profile to make an admission decision.
Are these offers real? Yes. These are genuine admission offers, with no further admission applications needed.
Will I receive more than one offer? Likely, yes. Colleges evaluate your transcript and other information provided in your profile to make an admission decision.
Can I accept more than one offer? Yes. Accept all that interest you.
Do I have to attend the college if I accept an offer? No. Accepting an offer is not a commitment to enroll.
Do offers expire? Yes. Respond as soon as you can so you don't miss out.
Should I list the colleges that accept me on my FAFSA? Yes! Most colleges require a FAFSA to send you a financial aid award package.
If I compete the Match profile, should I still submit an application directly with the college? No. The Match process is an official application. You may need to submit additional information (such as test scores) or complete a scholarship application if requested by the college.

Reminder - If you want to participate in the Alabama Direct Admission Initiative to receive offers during the first round on October 1, you need to create your account and complete your profile no later than Monday, September 14. If you choose to complete your profile after September 14, your offers will arrive in a later release (approximately 1 month after you submit).
